Housing Success Story through the Homeless No More Program

Many people go through trials and tribulations; but one family has overcome homelessness to become homeowners.

The John Wyres' family is that family; and we are incredibly proud of the accomplishments they have made and the work they put into beating the circumstances they were given.

We are excited to share with you, the success story of John Wyres' and his family.

After a bad accident, John couldn't work. Because of his inability to work, money in the household was exhausted and his family became homeless.  He and his wife were referred to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army was able to connect John to the Homeless No More program at Franklin Housing Authority. It was in the Homeless No More Program that he met one of the case managers, Cheryl Lyles.

Cheryl helped navigate John through the Homeless No More program to obtain temporary housing, case management and stability. During this period of stability, his daughter gave birth to their grandson which led them to Alabama.

With AL's assistance, they were connected to resources and was able to buy a home. Mr. Wyres and his wife are truly thankful the stability that the Homeless No More Program gave them.
